Planned and structured interactional observation from a social worker between two parties (usually a parent and child) prioritising the safety of the parties whilst guiding the interaction for optimal attachment and repair where required.

Inclusions

Visitations facilitated by a suitably qualified and trained social worker, social auxiliary worker or other suitably qualified mental health professional
Court ordered supervised visits or mediated or mutually consented supervised visits
In person or virtual visitations
Sleepover contact
A formal supervised visitation contract signed by all parties concerned
Preliminary intake sessions with each party concerned.
Child therapy intake for child-supervisor rapport building
Objective observation and professional guidance during visits
Supervised and structured child handovers implemented to mitigate direct parental contact in high-conflict or acrimonious matters
Support with appropriate interaction and engagement directives
Post-session feedback (verbal or written, as required)
Formal report writing for legal or professional purposes (as required)

Exclusions

Therapeutic intervention or counselling during sessions
Transport of the child to and from visits (unless otherwise arranged)
Crisis intervention outside of scheduled session times
All feedback is limited to observed interactions within the supervised visitation context and should not be interpreted as comprehensive or standalone legal guidance
